Monday I have to contact Yamaha Thailand, last night (Friday) Yamaha has updated the spare-parts numbers to the Thai logistic spare-parts warehouse to include all parts for the all new triple-cylinder Yamaha MT-09.. Which simply means that the warehouse in the near future will be handling and stocking spare parts for the Yamaha MT-09.

This generally only happens if Yamaha Thailand will include the motorcycle in the lineup, otherwise it would not make sense to stock parts.

Any idea about the price as I am thinking to buy a Kawasaki Z800?

Thai language bike forums are saying that a few dealers took delivery of some bikes last week and that when officially released the price will be 459000 baht. Thai riders are asking why a bike that is 5000 baht cheaper than the V-Strom 650 in the UK costs 109000 baht more in Thailand, although both bikes are made in Japan.

Finally, it appears that one of the Japanese motorcycle manufacturers gets it. There's a large group of riders out there who've been waiting for a motorcycle that offers good power and handling that we won't grow out of while costing a fortune. I don't want flashy bodywork that can get cracked or scratched when I make my first small mistake. I don't want some freaky styling or crazy colors. I just want a good, simple motorcycle with good performance that won't empty my bank account. Seems that the Yamaha MT-09 will fit that idea perfectly. Thanks, Yamaha.

Another Thai based bike site has a 'concept' idea of an MT-09 Tenere cross.
Nice.
The bike options here sure are improving.
