I hear that Sachs stopped the production of the Sachs X-Road 125, and that the model is replaced by the Sachs ZZ-125 "Supermoto". What about the Sachs X-Road 250 which Sachs showed last CenterWorld motorbike meeting, is that model still on the planning?

The x-road is been worked on, the emission controls are the issue and hopefully in the near future it will be available here...originally it has a carburated engine but that may be a fuel injected engine in future..hence the delay for this..google for "tiger sachs club" for more info

It doesn't matter how much we like to see more competition in the 250cc class, but marketing technical Sachs missed the window of opportunity.

If it is up to the big Japanese motorcycle names 2010 is the year of the 250cc, as it looks now some manufacturers will launch several motorcycle models in the 250cc class. And to insiders the prices for the basic 223cc 4-stroke single cylinder motorcycle models can start as low as the current top model of Honda in Thailand.

I once was told that the Sachs X-Road 250 will enter the market at 100,000 Baht. That would be a hard sell if Honda has something in the same class 20,000 cheaper....
