 honda pcx rear tyre

Just had a friend phone me went to buy rear tyre for pcx today from Honda paid 1600 bht i thought thats a bit to much,anyone can help as im to busy to go to Honda at the moment myself as im going to replace my rear tyre soon,im coming up to 10000 kilometers,any input would be a help.

It's hard to say that your friend paid to much for the rear Honda PCX tire without knowing what tire brand and model they sold him and installed on his scooter.

Well it was fitted by Honda main dealer,the name looks like BRC but its a bit hard to read,

The brand would probably be IRC, which is the OE tire manufacturer for the Honda PCX 125 (if I'm correct they use the IRC SS560 tire), and than I have the feeling that 1,600 THB is a bit expensive. I bought not so long ago a few Dunlop D109 250-17 and paid less than 600 THB per piece....

The Dunlop D109 is not for the Honda PCX 125, but purely for price indication. Most people will consider Dunlop the better tire manufacturer, compared to IRC.

Yep, that is far to expensive for an IRC which should have been closer to 500 Baht.

I bought a far superior Michelin tired for under a 1k, it was slightly wider than the stock too.

thanks for that thats what i thought,sorry name was irc tire
