Last Sunday, we received the news that Mr. Theeraphong Boonjaruen, or Bote for his friends, a former, champion motorbike racer, kill himself. This news was overshadowed by the tragedy of the airplane crash in Phuket.

Theeraphong Boonjaruen was apparently drinking beer when he shot himself in the head. Miss Samawadee Boonjaruen told police that they had been married for 12 years and had an eight year old daughter, she also told police and reporters that her husband had an accident, four years ago and had a steel bar was placed in his leg to join the bone together.

What made walking painful and difficult, also a few months ago, he fell down the stairs and the leg became infected, after that he was forced to use a wheelchair all the time and became quite depressed.

Mr. Theeraphong was upset about his health and the he felt like a burden to his family.

Mr. Theeraphong and his wife run a small food shop at the ground floor of there house in Pattaya. That evening, they closed the food shop, as usual and Mrs. Sumawadee went to sleep. Mr. Theeraphong stayed in the kitchen, by himself, and drank beer. That night Samawadee was shocked to hear a gun shot and rushed downstairs and discovered that her husband had committed suicide.
