Depart Australia 27 November 2011, Arrive Udon / Khon Kaen 27 November. Cash buy a 250cc Phantom, or similar for road use between Udon and Khon Kaen daily. Must cruise easily at 100km/h with highway traffic, with pillion. New, Re-possessed, or good clean secondhand motorcycle.

Take delivery at Udon or Khon Kaen. Serious buyer, not a dreamer.

In Thailand I would not directly look for a secondhand 250cc motorcycle. Most of the 250cc cruisers are not expensive to buy new.

You two options are the Lifan LF250-B (Lifan Custom V250) and the Keeway Cruiser 250, the Lifan LF250-B costs new 78,000 THB and the Keeway Cruiser 250 cost almost the same.

In Thailand you have the Keeway Superlight 200 in Thailand, which is a single-cylinder 200cc, especially targeted a people who are looking at something similar to the Honda Phantom TA200. The Keeway Superlight 200 sells for 59,900 THB.

Prices are suggested retail prices, so they can be different from location to location....

Lifan has 2-year factory warranty, and the Keeway motorcycles have 3-years warranty (if I'm correct).

When arriving in KK or Udon just have a look at the local shops what they have secondhand or new. Here in KK are many shops that are selling Lifan and other Chinese import bikes in the kind you are looking for.

But if it is just for commuting between KK and Udon why not take the bus?
It is only 120km but it is a boring highway with a lot of traffic.
