This post I am replying to says that new Honda CBR 250 will cost 100,000 B for the regular model and 115,000 for the ABS model. WRONG - - major wrong ! At Central World I spoke with a man who appeared to be a senior sort of guy who was very clear that the price was 115,000 for the regular model and 130,000 B for the one with ABS brakes. He said they were available now but the ABS model would be in the stores about mid-February.
You can imagine my surprise when I waited till Feb 15th, walked into a big Honda dealer ready to pull out my credit card and ride away - but the bastards insisted the price is 130,000 B for the regular brakes and 160,000 B for the one with ABS brakes. They didn't hint at any negotiation. That was the price according to them! And that is a huge huge increase over what I expected to pay!! I'm angry.
A proper spokesman from Honda should explain this.
I took a long walk to get to this big Honda dealer, I went past a Platinum dealer and they have a 200cc model in a cafe racer style not unlike the Honda or Kawasaki for only 57,000 B - which may even be negotiable - and I think I'll give that a serious look.
I am surprised also, because here in Motorcycle Prices it says for the 250 CBR a price of 100,500 B without and 115,500 B with ABS. A official dealer here in CNX told me the price is 115,000 B without and 130,000 B with ABS (smaller dealers here sell it for 114,000 B without and 129,000 B with ABS). After that I went to Kawasaki and bought the 250R Ninja for 147,500 B plus some more things for at least round about 25,000 B.
Honda's "tent encampment" outside Carrefour yesterday. Salesperson quoted 115k (no ABS). 140K (with ABS)
Mittyon Pattaya quoted 115000 in May 2011, 120000 at Honda Sriracha and 105000 where I bought my bike... I am talking about the non ABS version.
Just a few photos from Motor Expo 2010
Nice glossy brochure as well with "world premiere launch in Thailand" on it.
No surprise with price as thats been known for a while but available from this month
100k & 115K for abs version
