The engine of the Sym GTS 300i Evo is very well made, and the ceramic cylinder coating reduce a lot of friction With that in mind I see no problem with a cruising speed of around 120km/h.
Of course it also depends on much you load your maxi-scooter, if you ride with two persons and some luggage you maybe not able to cruise at that speed... You best keep an eye on the engine temperature...

Modern scooter engines have not problem running at 7000 RPM. I may sound a lot compared to a car but the forces acting on smaller engine internals is less.
One thing I would like to know is where do you ride in Thailand where you can ride for long periods at 130 kph? Maybe on Hwy 2 up north?
This is a very difficult question. After some consideration and research maybe it is better to put it into perspective.
At 130 KPH and 7500 rpm your SYM has a piston speed of 15.9 m/s. Not a number we usually consider but…
A KTM Duke 690 produces 67 hp at 7630 rpm with a piston speed of 21m/s.
If you had a KTM which has a top speed of about 180 kph @ 7630-ish you would not be asking if you could cruise for long periods at 130 kph at 5400 RPM but in fact the piston speed of the KTM at 130 kph is almost identical to your SYM at 15.1 m/s
So in reality there is no real difference in engine wear etc with you cruising at 130 on either bike.
Yes the rotating parts of your engine are turning faster but rotating mass wear rates are not linear.

I have a Sym GTSi 300 maxi scooter and am very happy? Would like to know if I can drive at 130km per hour for long distances which revs at 7000rpm . Will the engine be able to handle this speed
