The Thai motorcycle/scooter market is likely to set a new record high sales number for 2013, with an expected number of over 2.2 million units. The last sales record, was last year (2012) which sold 2.125.646 units. In 2011 the number of motorcycles/scooters sold in the Thai market was 2.001.244 units.

Since 2006 we see an huge increase in scooters being sold, this is partly due to the introduction of fuel efficient technology being introduce for scooters.

The numbers of units for 2013 is updated until July 2013.
