Conditions were very similar to the previous race, the race getting underway on a damp track, with all riders starting on rain tyres and then switching to their slick-equipped machines as the circuit dried out. Once again, the changing conditions made for a thrilling race, with frequent changes of position, both on the track and in the pits. All three practice and qualifying sessions were held in warm, sunny conditions, though riders did get the chance to work on wet set-up during this morning’s rain-hit warm-up.

Ratthapark Wilairot (Thai Honda PTT-SAG), finished 14th what was not bad, what was not bad as he reported that he had problems with the suspension and with the engine temperature too, which made the bike difficult to ride, so I didn’t feel at all comfortable. He clearly did his best to get as many points as possible but in the end he only got two. The good thing was that his ankle and hand injuries weren’t a problem, which made him optimistic for the next race.
