Supercharged Future Kawasaki

Kawasaki is supercharging its future after the success of its Ninja H2 and H2R supercharged motorcycles. Speaking at the 44th annual Tokyo Motor Show, Kawasaki president Kenji Tomida unveiled a concept sketch for Concept SC, or 'Spirit Charger', a future forced-induction motorcycle.

He also unveiled a new balanced supercharged engine with increased fuel economy thanks to electronically controlled flaps at the supercharger entrance. This allows the volume and direction of air intake to be adjusted for maximum efficiency.

Just one month later at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Kawasaki unveiled another concept sketch of a supercharged motorcycle, called the SC-02 'Soul Charger 2'.
Kawasaki has also confirmed it will continue to make the supercharged Kawasaki Ninja H2 and H2R motorcycles in limited production for 2016 owing to the worldwide interest in the supercharged motorcycles.

They will have a new color and paint finish called Mirror Coated Spark Black, plus a slipper clutch for the Ninja H2 as well as upgrades to the ECU settings for both motorcycles.

Mr. Tomida outlined that Kawasaki Rideology strategy for future models; 'First the need for machines to posses power and grace, secondly Kawasaki motorcycles should continue to be fun and reward to ride and, thirdly, the ongoing reliance on the skills within the entire Kawasaki Group harnessing cutting-edge technology to enrich the lives of people worldwide.'Tag: Kawasaki H2 H2R Supercharged Supercharger Forced-Inducation Kenji Tomida Spirit Charger EICMA SC-02 Concept
