Honda's Future Plans No Secret

While Honda future plans may have been announced as some sort of exclusive bit of news elsewhere, Honda's future plans are, in fact, no great secret. Honda CEO Takanobu Ito has made a very public statement about where the factory is heading in the next few years, and it makes for interesting reading.

So, rather than hyping it up like other motorcycle websites do, we've picked out the most interesting quotes from the Honda big boss's speech ad put them here for you to see.

We reckon you'll find this as interesting and exciting as we do. And look, we've done it all without over-hyping anything. So it can be done, and it's being done again, by us.
Mr. Takanobu Ito said: 'In the area of large-sized motorcycles, following the New Mid Series, Honda will introduce a series of large-sized models with a new concept, which enable customers to more easily enjoy daily commuting and weekend touring. This stylish new series will be equipped with a 'tourqueful' engine, low seat height which increases the ease of handling, and a comfortable ride with high stability in maneuvering. The production of the first model is this new series will begin in February 2013 at Kumamoto Factory, Honda's global motorcycle production operation, and sales will begin from North America.

'Since its market introduction in 1987, the Honda VFR750 (RC30) super sports motorcycle has been loved by a large number of fans. With a goal to create a new history, passionate Honda engineers have gotten together and have begun development of a new super sports motorcycle to which new technologies from MotoGP machines will be applied.'
