Honda Motorcycle Sales and New Models


New motorcycle registration in April was 105,363 units, down 25,432 units or 19 per cent year on year, which is the lowest in 15 months, said APHonda, the leading seller of motorcycles in Thailand.

The reduction in motorcycle registration was according a Honda Thailand spokes person due to the economic recession, which has affected purchasing power. The political turmoil and the long Songkran holidays in April where other factors that affected motorcycle sales.
Even amid declining new motorcycle registrations, the fuel-injection models sales enjoyed growth. Registration of Honda’s fuel-injection motorcycle and scooter models went up for the fourth consecutive, from 22 per cent in January, 25 per cent in February, 37 per cent in March and 40 per cent in April.

Honda Thailand remains positive, “business will get better”, APHonda has invested into new sporty and family fuel-injection motorcycle models, which will be introduced in the Thai market within a few months.
