EICMA 68th Motorcycle Exhibition in Milan

After the presentation of the new Ducati Diavel 1200, that collected hundreds of people at Teatro Carcano in Milan, the 68th EICMA International Bike and Motorbike show is now looking forward to the opening ceremony to be held today, November 2, at the new Milan's fair in Rho-Pero, with the special attendance of two 2010 World Champions, Jorge Lorenzo (MotoGP) and Max Biaggi (Superbike).

Important figures are increasing the expectations for the opening day (even if only for operators, as the access to the public will be allowed from Thursday November 4, with a free-entry day for women on Friday November 5) of Milan's show, that will end up on Sunday November 7. Despite a tough economical crisis, EICMA preserves its role as the major event for two-wheels fans, with an over 50.000 sqm exposition, with 39 Countries represented and 69 "rookie" companies, showcasing their products in Milan for the very first time.

EICMA is an exclusive international showcase, where all the most important brands are coming to present their new 2011 models. On the opening day, celebre companies such as Honda, Piaggio, Aprilia, BMW, Suzuki and Peugeot will be in the spotlight with their latest creations, while, in the early afternoon, Jorge Lorenzo will be great protagonist at the Yamaha stand.
Moto will play a dominant part in 68th EICMA, but there will be room for bike fans as well, in particular on Thursday, November 4, when cycling gold medals at 1960 Rome Olympic Games will be awarded in the bike pavillons, and former champion Fiorenzo Magni, to whom a special show has been dedicated, will be felicitated for his upcoming 90th birthday.

Plenty of interesting new initiatives will take part to EICMA 2010 programme, starting from the Happy Hour time in "Spazio 57", a lounge bar at the Pavillons 5 and 7's reception, where several meeting and side events will take place.
