The Ducati Streetfighter 848 - Fabulous Motorcycle

Ducati has added an 848 version of the Streetfighter – and the question most will be wondering is does it have enough power? Sure the Ducati Streetfighter 848 has more than enough power, and in some ways this 132 horsepower engine suits the motorcycle better than the 1098 Superbike engine, which is more aggressive. How much power do you need, anyway?

There's nothing quite like cruising on a naked bike on a still, sunny day. But if you have to battle with the traffic for half an hour leaving town, then you might wish for more lightweight clutch. The riding position is slightly sportier than a Ducati Monster's but feels appropriate once you hit open-road speeds and you're clear of the second-gear city grind.
The clarity of the 1199 instruments makes you wish the Ducati Streetfighter 848's were as easy to read. The Ducati Streetfighter 848 has superb front-end feel, as if your hands were attached directly to the front-wheel axle, and the wide handlebars make for a great steer.

The Ducati Streetfighter 848 set up firm, but on smooth turns, its flickable nature and gruff exhaust note suggest it will prove a fabulous motorcycle for a blue-sky, no-wind day out riding.
