BMW HP2 Sport, the Hardcore Race BMW

<img width="200" height="120" class="floatleft" src="motorcycle.in.th/images/articles/BMW_HP2_Sport_the_Hardcore_Race_BMW_1.jpg" alt="" />Unveiled at last year's Paris Motorcycle Show, BWM's new HP2 Sport promises to be the most aggressive sportbike in the history of the German marque. We doubt it will trouble a Ducati 1098, as BMW claims an, incredible for a air/oil-cooled, 133 real horses and 115 Nm - a unique performance for a production bike and filigree components reduce the dry weight to an impressive 178 kg. Not too shabby for a BMW Motorrad's 2-cylinder flat twin &quot;Boxer&quot; model though.

Although it uses the BMW R 1200 S sports-tourer as a starting point, the BMW HP2 Sport has been designed with the racetrack in mind, ambitious sports riders, and the BMW HP2 Sport competed successfully in this year's 24-Hour World Endurance Championship. The production motorcycle now available at the selective BMW showrooms have a lot in common with the race bike. The chassis, with self-supporting front and rear sections in carbon, ergonomics and vehicle geometry are individually adjustable, guaranteeing excellent handling.
It uses Öhlins suspension, Brembo brakes, lighter forged wheels, carbon fibre bodywork and a race-spec 2D GP dashboard derived from Moto-GP racing provides all information to the cockpit. The BMW HP2 Sport also has racing features to be found in serial production for the first time such as the shift assistant which allows shifting without accelerator release and clutch disengagement, and the DOHC cylinder head with its four radially arranged valves. ABS is employed to prevent the rear-lifting under braking, so stoppies are off the agenda..

In short: the refinement of the BMW HP2 Sport combines impressively high riding performance and exclusive visual appearance to provide maximum riding pleasure as you have never experienced
