A Kawasaki Ninja 250R on the Thai Road

I'm on a brand-spanking-new Thai build 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250R I've never ridden and the Ninja 250R doesn't even belong to me. With the shock turned to its lowest setting, my feet can reach the ground. I need to confess that as a Thai female I'm not that big.

After hearing how it's designed for all kinds of riders, I couldn't wait to give the Kawasaki Ninja 250R a good whack. Slicing through traffic was quick thanks to the easy-to-reach handlebar. The upright riding position made even me feel tall and totally in control out there in that sea of four-wheeled rush-hour land yachts. The riding position is very comfortable, and overall I found the bike extremely light and responsive.

The bike looks like designers took their time with the Kawasaki Ninja 250R's aesthetics. You can tell this bike was designed to attract a female rider and I would fully recommend it to one especially if she hasn't been riding motorcycles all that long.
And Kawasaki Ninja 250R is just as easy and fun to push through tight Bangkok Soi's as it is through fast country roads. What surprised me most was how much fun it is to ride. Every time I got on the gas, I wanted to pull wheelies. The Ninja 250R was so torquey and fun and maneuverable, similar in some ways to smaller 125 or 150cc sporty motorcycles only much more powerful. It is hard to belief that this motorcycle is just a 2-cylinder 250cc. In Bangkok, I loved it. The Kawasaki Ninja 250R react quickly and easily, plus there's plenty of power to get you out of trouble.

It is remarkable to see that Kawasaki changed the fueling system on the 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250R for the Thai and European market, the Ninja 250R comes now with Electronic Injection and breaths through two Keihin 28cm, 2 valve throttle bodies.

If I had to own only one all-purpose motorcycle, this Kawasaki Ninja 250R would definitely be on my list. Heck, after two days of riding every road surface we could find, I was ready to throw a few things in my backpack and head North(-east) with NongKhai as my target destination.
