The 2017 Honda CB1100EX - The Big Retro-Bike

For 2017 the standard Honda CB1100EX model gets a raft of upgrades. Front and rear lights are now LED and the 18 inch wheels run stainless steel spokes. The rims roll under a new 41mm Showa Dual Bending Valve fork and matched dual Showa rear shocks.

The revised air-cooled four-cylinder engine breathes more easily thanks to a new inlet tract and its small, lighter 4-2-2 exhaust system, while that assist slipper clutch makes for a lighter action at the lever, plus more positive engagement when pulling away, and full slipper action on aggressive downshifts.

The seat is at 790mm, and the weight has increased three kilograms to 255 kilograms.

Those newly laced 18 inch wheels run 110/80 R18 and 140/70 R18 tires, and they benefit from L-shaped valves for easy access at the pumps. The braking hardware is a little less focused, with non-radial four-pot Nissins clamping twin 296mm floating discs up front. The Honda CB1100EX gets LED lighting, but reverts to period-style bulbous indicators for that heritage feel.

The Honda CB1100EX will be available in new colors Pearl Shinning Yellow, Pearl Sunbeam White and the old Candy Prominence Red. The price will be the same of slightly higher than the current 574,000 THB.
